“I really believe I’d run in there even if I didn’t have a weapon.”
Donald Trump on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS mass shooting.
Red really believes that Trump really believes that he really believes that he would be heroic if only given the chance. Like on 911, when he sat in the comfort of Trump Tower gloating that he now had the tallest building in New York after the World Trade Center towers fell. Now that was some heroism.
“I can’t imagine a more transparent and open process than put it on the internet, invite people’s comments and discussion, and then have an open amendment process following debate, and then vote.”
Sen. John Cornyn (TP-Texas).
Senator – How about the process where you don’t negotiate a bill in secret closed-door meetings excluding opposition members and even most members of your party, and where you actually hold committee hearings, get input from experts and the public on both sides, have an open debate and not keep it under wraps until days before a supposed vote? How about that process – would that be more transparent and open?
“Donald Trump is the kind of guy who would tell you he is ambidextrous because he picks his nose with his left hand.”
Red from Texas
As usual, Red has it right.
“He’s nothing but a bullshitter.”
Attributed to Barack Obama speaking of President Donald Trump.
How could any self-respecting real estate developer credibly deny that. It’s in the job description – “Must have line of excellent bullshit from here until next Tuesday.” A real estate developer without bullshit is like an artist without a canvas, a hitter without a bat, a taxi driver without a steering wheel, a teacher without a blackboard, a . . . well you get the picture.
“Doing stuff is overrated. Like Hitler. He did a lot. But don’t we all wish he woulda just stayed home and gotten stoned?”
Dex from the Tao of Steve
“I’m anti-Obama, but I don’t think they are coming to take our guns away. I’m a whole lot more worried about the UN coming in and taking over the Alamo than I am about the federal government coming in and taking my guns away.”
Unidentified and uninformed Bastrop resident.
