Current polling indicates that the Lone Star State is in play for November.  As reported by the Dallas Morning News – not exactly a bastion of left-wing reporting – Trumph – the Insult Comic President and Joe Biden are in a statistical deadheat.

A new Dallas Morning News/University of Texas at Tyler poll shows that Trump and Biden are backed by 43% of poll respondents, with 5% opting for “other” candidates and only 9% undecided. Trump’s overall approval rating was 45%.

Red really will have to engage in some willing suspension of disbelief before he buys into the notion that Uncle Joe has a chance to carry Texas.  But if that well-below 50% approval rating holds, Trump’s reality TV show joke of a Presidency is in serious trouble.  If this polling is accurate and holds through the summer, then Trump absolutely must  divert some of his massive campaign war chest to Texas – a state he must win to prevail in 2020.  The result will be less time and resources to devote to the other “Battleground States” that are also critical to Trump being able to stay in office and out of the pokey.

Former Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Judge and long time Republican office-holder, Elsa Alcala, has finally had enough.  Alcala who says she typically stays out of political discussion on social media apparently felt compelled to speak out regarding Trumph – the Insult Comic President’s latest racist rant.  On Facebook, Alcala denounced Trump as
“the worst president in the history of this country.”  Not holding back, the former judge indicated that Trump has an ideology of racism.

In an interview with Texas Lawyer, Alcala, who chose not to seek re-election in 2018, noted, “I have been thinking about this for years and I hoped things would get better but they never did. I did not want an ‘R’ next to my name anymore.”

Alcala also indicated that she would be voting in the Democratic primary in 2020 for the first time.

So now SHS is not only paid by the taxpayers to lie for Individual 1 – a/k/a Trumph – the Insult Comic President™, the public gets the added bonus of her divinations of God’s will.  This would truly be insulting to people of faith (like Red) if it weren’t just so damn funny that these clowns really think that they have a divine right to rule.  So little has changed.  However, if God’s mission was to make Individual 1 President as the lynchpin to destroy the current incarnation of the Republican Party, then who is Red to question God’s wisdom?

Red has to agree that RT must have been dumb as a rock if agreed to work in this Reality TV Show Joke of an Administration.  Anyone who does gets exactly what they deserve – a heaping helping of abuse and scorn.  As for laziness, apparently Trumph is an expert practitioner of that art – so again Red will have to defer.  As for Pompeo, Red is betting that when his time is inevitably up, he will turn out to have been a Satan-worshipping child molester.
